UPMC Somerset's Same Day Services is seeking a Casual RN to join their team! 

This casual position supports Same Day Surgery, GI, Pain Clinic, PACU, and Pre-Admission Testing areas. Shifts are scheduled on a rotating basis between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Team members also participate in rotating on-call coverage after 6:00 p.m. and share weekend and holiday call responsibilities.

With primarily daylight hours and exposure to multiple specialty areas, this role offers valuable learning and growth opportunities. Flexibility is essential, as team members rotate through several clinical areas.

• Minimum 1 year experience.
\n
• BSN preferred.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
\n  

\n
• Registered Nurse (RN)
\n
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
\n
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
\n
• Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)\n
  \n
  • CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
  \n
\n
• NIH Certification will be required within 6 months of hire for applicable units
\n
• Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
\n
• Act 33 with renewal
\n
• Act 34 with renewal
\n
• Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
  \n  
\n

*Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
