About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated, analytical and creative Email & SMS Lifecycle Marketing Specialist to help drive customer engagement, conversion and retention across DuroMax Power Equipment, MaxTool.com and FactoryAuthorizedOutlet.com. This is not a role focused on simply scheduling promotional emails. You will work directly inside Klaviyo to build campaigns, flows, segments, forms and tests that improve the customer journey from first visit through purchase, ownership, repeat purchase and reactivation.

What You Will Work On

You will support three ecommerce businesses with different customer behaviors and marketing needs:

DuroMax Power Equipment

A premium outdoor power equipment and home power backup brand with a high-consideration purchase journey, major product launches, seasonal demand, accessory opportunities and a large installed owner base.

MaxTool.com

A multi-brand ecommerce retailer serving professional contractors, tradespeople and serious DIY customers across tools, equipment and related categories.

FactoryAuthorizedOutlet.com

A multi-brand ecommerce retailer where merchandising, category affinity, brand affinity, promotional strategy and repeat-purchase behavior are major lifecycle opportunities.

Core Responsibilities 

Klaviyo Campaign & Flow Execution

• Build, QA, schedule and deploy email and SMS campaigns across all three businesses.
• Build and optimize automated Klaviyo flows using conditional logic, filters, splits and dynamic content.
• Create and maintain customer segments based on engagement, behavior, purchase history, category interest and lifecycle stage.
• Create and optimize signup forms, popups and email/SMS acquisition experiences.
• Maintain templates and make light layout or content adjustments as needed.
• Coordinate campaign assets, product selections, copy, offers and timing with Ecommerce, Creative and Merchandising teams.
• Help maintain clean account organization, naming conventions and QA processes across multiple Klaviyo accounts.
  

Lifecycle Automation

Continuously improve automated journeys that move customers through the funnel. Programs may include:

• Welcome and new-subscriber series
• Lead nurturing and product education
• Browse and product-view abandonment
• Cart and checkout abandonment
• Back-in-stock and price-drop messaging
• Post-purchase education and onboarding
• Accessory and complementary-product cross-sell
• Review requests and customer advocacy
• Win-back and lapsed-customer reactivation
• VIP, high-value and repeat-customer journeys

Segmentation & Personalization

Help move our programs beyond basic engaged/unengaged lists by building useful audience strategies around:

• Purchase behavior and order count
• Average order value and customer value
• Product, brand and category affinity
• Website browsing behavior
• Geography and seasonal demand
• Email and SMS engagement
• Recency, frequency and monetary value
• Customer lifecycle stage

DuroMax Customer Journey

Support a lifecycle strategy designed for a premium, high-consideration home power backup purchase. Help move prospects from awareness and education through consideration and purchase, then continue communicating with owners after the sale.

• Build educational nurture programs for shoppers who are researching generators and home power backup.
• Create segmentation based on generator type, fuel preference, products viewed, products purchased, geography and engagement.
• Develop owner communications that support product education, accessory attachment, reviews and long-term brand loyalty.
• Support major launches, severe-weather opportunities, seasonal demand and promotional events with timely lifecycle communication.

MaxTool & Factory Authorized Outlet

• Build brand-affinity and category-affinity segments.
• Create personalized merchandising and promotional campaigns around customer behavior.
• Support brand-specific launches, promotions, back-in-stock and price-drop opportunities.
• Identify repeat-purchase, cross-category and lapsed-customer opportunities.
• Help make communications increasingly relevant as more behavioral and purchase data becomes available.

TESTING, ANALYTICS & CHANNEL HEALTH

Testing & Optimization

Maintain a disciplined testing mindset. Help create and document tests around:

• Subject lines and preview text
• Offers and promotional structure
• Creative and copy
• Calls to action
• Products and merchandising
• Send time and frequency
• Audience segments
• Flow timing and logic
• Signup forms and incentives
• Email vs. SMS sequencing

Analytics & Revenue Performance

Monitor performance and turn reporting into actionable recommendations. Key metrics may include:

• Email and SMS revenue
• Campaign vs. automated-flow revenue
• Revenue per recipient
• Conversion rate
• Click rate
• List and SMS subscriber growth
• Flow contribution
• Repeat purchase and reactivation
• Average order value
• Unsubscribe, bounce and spam complaint rates

Deliverability & Compliance

• Monitor deliverability, engagement, list health and sending reputation.
• Maintain appropriate suppression and list-cleaning practices.
• Follow applicable email and SMS consent, unsubscribe and messaging requirements.
• Escalate deliverability or compliance risks quickly and help implement corrective actions.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Required Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in ecommerce email, SMS, CRM, lifecycle or retention marketing.
• Strong hands-on experience working inside Klaviyo.
• Experience personally building email campaigns and automated flows.
• Experience with segmentation, personalization and customer journey logic.
• Working knowledge of SMS marketing and subscriber acquisition.
• Experience with Shopify or Shopify Plus.
• Strong analytical skills and comfort working with performance data.
• Experience running structured A/B tests.
• Understanding of email deliverability, list health and campaign QA.
• Strong writing, proofreading and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple calendars, brands and priorities at the same time.
• Comfort moving between creative execution and performance analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

• Klaviyo certifications or advanced platform training.
• Experience with high-AOV or considered-purchase ecommerce.
• Experience with large product catalogs or multi-brand retail ecommerce.
• Experience with GA4 or other ecommerce analytics tools.
• Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for email.
• Experience with dynamic content, personalization or cohort/LTV analysis.
• Experience with reviews, loyalty, referral or post-purchase programs.
• Graphic design experience or familiarity with design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or Figma is a plus.

THE PERSON WHO WILL EXCEL HERE

You are naturally curious about customer behavior and you do not look at Klaviyo as a send button. You want to understand why a campaign worked, why a shopper did not convert, what should happen after a purchase and how the next communication can be more relevant. You are comfortable getting into the details: building a flow, checking links, updating a segment, rewriting a subject line, reviewing creative, analyzing performance and suggesting the next test. You do not need to arrive as a finished retention leader. We are looking for an ambitious operator who already understands the fundamentals, can execute reliably and wants to grow by taking on increasingly sophisticated lifecycle challenges.
